From the team behind Thai Diner and Uncle Boon’s comes their brand new Thai chicken finger and drink concept, Mommy Pai’s! This sounds incredible! Thai chicken fingers come in lemongrass, spicy, muay Thai, and coconut! They have scallion pancakes, curry puff mozzarella sticks, and of course tropical fruit drinks like their fruit punch, mango coconut, and a pineapple Thai basil!

Spirals

Just opened in the East Village is Spirals, the new bakery focused on all things rolls! Think cinnamon roll, strawberry shortcake roll, pistachio pesto burrata roll, and what I’m most excited by, the cinnamon challah roll!

Breads Bakery

Not only does Breads Bakery have a new location in Brooklyn Bridge Park, but only at that location they are launching babka pizza! They take their babka dough and top it with a house made tomato sauce, and mozzarella! A dream combo!

Laliko

Laliko, the modern Georgian restaurant in the West Village has launched a brand new brunch menu that looks amazing! Some of the standouts include their Acharuli, which is a boat shaped khachapuri with molten cheese, egg yolk, and butter, their Syrniki which is a fried cottage cheese cakes, and a full Georgian Breakfast with sunny side up eggs, lobio, tomato and cucumber salad, kebab balls, bacon, Georgian cheese, and bread!

EVENTS

I was at SummerSlam Night 2 and you guys know I'm a giant wrestling fan and it was one of the best wrestling shows I've ever been to. I went with On Location, which is this incredible company that literally will make your dreams come true if you want to go to a sporting event. We had this like three-hour lounge with free alcohol and free food and superstars coming in and out. I got to meet Big Sexy, Kevin Nash, Diesel. This dude's the fucking man. I also met Charlotte Flair, daughter of Ric Flair, and current women's tag team champion. She was awesome! But then we got to watch SummerSlam and it was incredible. Got to see Cody Rhodes win the WWE Undisputed Championship. TLC was incredible. The the triple threat women's championship was incredible. Dominic Mysterio is the future of the business. Jacob Fatu is the future of the business. I'm like 12 hours away from it and I'm still jacked up. That's how awesome it was!

TV

So I hadn’t gone through the complete How I Met Your Mother series since it went off the air, but feeling inspired from the new How We Made Your Mother watch along podcast, I went back and rewatched all 9 seasons! I think the show is still a classic, still beyond funny, and knowing how the series ends, did help soften the blown of the final 3 mins of the series! But I will say, seasons 7 and 8 in particular were dreadful, only saved by the resurgence in creativity and resetting of some of the flanderization of the charecters in season 9! I think I liked Ted alot more this rewatch, even if I was more critical of his relationships this time around, I felt like he had such little chemistry with everyone except for the mother, and he broke up too many weddings/marriages! Still, worth a watch, worth a rewatch, and episodes and moments will live with me forever, and how many TV shows can really say that?
